\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThere is a difference between water that has moved and water that is stagnant.\n\nPerhaps you remember it:\n

  • a mountain stream on a childhood hike, the water so cold it hurt your teeth and so clean it tasted only of itself.<\/li>\n \t
  • a farm brook, the water heavy with minerals, leaving a memory on your tongue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>
    \nYou know the difference. We all do. We just stopped talking about it.

    \n\nThink of a glass of water left on your nightstand overnight. In the morning it tastes flat.
    The water remains H\u2082O, still within every safety standard.\nBut the motion has left it.

    Without the gentle agitation water experiences in a stream or a spring, something in its structure relaxes and goes dormant.

    \nEvery tradition understood this.\nEvery grandmother who said “let the water breathe” knew something our modern convenience has let us forget.\n

    \nWater responds to the world around it. It carries what it has passed through, both chemically and structurally.\nThe arrangement of its molecules, the way they organise themselves, is never static.\n

    Like everything else in Nature, water moves in spirals.<\/p>

    • You can see this in a mountain stream, where every stone creates a tiny vortex.<\/li>
    • In a whirlpool.<\/li>
    • In the vast spiral of a hurricane as seen from space.<\/li>
    • The same pattern appears in galaxies, in the unfurling of a fern frond, in the shell of a nautilus.<\/li><\/ul>

      Nature uses the spiral to create order from motion. It is one of her oldest forms, and one of her most reliable.<\/p>

      “Water is the driving force of all Nature,”<\/em> Leonardo da Vinci wrote.
      The naturalist Viktor Schauberger observed the same principle in the forest streams of Austria: water organises itself through spiralling motion.<\/p>

      When water flows in a spiral, the erratic movement of random turbulence gives way to coherence.
      The molecules arrange themselves in relation to one another, falling into a pattern that echoes the shapes Nature favours everywhere.<\/p>

      A vortex is Nature’s way of creating order from turbulence.
      This is observable fluid dynamics, the same principle documented by naturalists and physicists alike.<\/p>

          The difference is water that has been allowed to be itself and water that has been processed.\u00a0
